Seçkin Arslan was involved in civil society for the first time in 2011 with the earthquake of Van. Since then, she has been working in different civil society initiatives focusing on women and youth in Van, Diyarbakır and Gaziantep.
Seçkin managed a scholarship program that provided economic and social support for Syrian students in Gaziantep University from 2014 to 2017. In order to support independent production opportunities of young Syrian artists she met in this period, she has been working as a co-founder of Nefes for Arts and Culture since 2017.
Experienced in project writing and reporting, she is mainly interested in capacity development through content management, design of civil society components and related capacity building tools for projects.
Born in Diyarbakır in 1982, Arslan is from Gaziantep. She studied Management Engineering in ITU, İstanbul and philosophy and social anthropology in METU, Ankara.
